Relationships and Affairs
Nami was released from her years of working under the Arlong Pirates by Luffy who came to help her and save her village. She has been with Luffy since then and is loyal to him as a crewmate. Luffy even gave her his signature Straw Hat to her as a sign of trust which he never gave to anyone. She gets angry with her and beats him up over small things but cares for him the most and believes that Luffy will someday become the “King Of Pirates”. It is possible to assume that later in the series, Nami and Luffy will be together as a couple.
Sanji is always obsessed with Nami and he claimed that she is 98% of the reason for him to be on the crew. They both care for each other and Nami keeps beating him whenever he tried to flirt with him. During the Whole Cake Island Arc, Nami showed how much she cares for Sanji and what he means to her.
Friends
Monkey D Luffy met Nami while his battle with Buggy where she pretended to be a member of his crew and wanted to steal his money. Luffy later helped her and made her a part of his crew. Both of them share a close bond and could go to any lengths in order to help each other.

While Nami relies heavily on Zoro’s fighting abilities, she also finds his laziness and frequent naps to be annoying. On the other hand, Zoro trusts Nami’s navigation skills completely and always obeys her orders without question. Despite this, Nami’s shrewd personality allows her to manipulate Zoro’s easy-going nature, keeping him perpetually indebted to her.
Usopp is the best friend of Nami and they both are the weakest members of the Straw Hat Crew. Nami can easily see through his lying nature and considers him to be an idiot. She got her signature weapon Clima-Tact from Usopp and relies on him for advancements in her weapons. In any situation of trouble, they both are the first to run away and escape.
Nami and Sanji have a complex relationship in the One Piece series. Sanji is deeply infatuated with Nami and often flirts with her, showering her with compliments and chivalrous gestures. However, Nami does not reciprocate these feelings and usually responds to Sanji’s advances with annoyance and rejection. Sanji is always willing to cook and provide food for Nami, and she appreciates his culinary skills. They often work together on missions and share a mutual respect for each other’s abilities. While their feelings for each other may not be romantic, they share a strong bond as fellow crewmates and friends.
Nami has a strong affection for Chopper and was the first crew member to acknowledge his abilities as a doctor. She holds his medical knowledge in high regard and considers his safety as important as her own. In turn, Chopper has great respect for Nami’s navigation skills, but sometimes fears her intense desire for money and aggressive behavior towards the “foolish” members of the crew.
Nami considers Franky as his elder brother but is easily provoked by his childish nature and the stupidity he does along with the other crew members.
Brook often flirts with Nami, but she responds to his advances with a beating and firm rejection. She makes sure that he gets stopped from doing something as a pervert and gives him a well-deserved kick. Despite this, Nami cares for Brook and she values his musical abilities as the crew’s musician. They also work well together on missions, with Nami relying on Brook for his speed and abilities.
Nami and Brook
Jinbe and Nami had a complicated meeting at first, where Jinbe was apologizing to Nami for whatever she had to go through in her past due to his indirect actions. Later they both ended up resolving the matter and became good friends and both of them appreciate each other’s skill as a crew member and she calls him Boss Jinbe as a sign of respect. Nami was glad to see Jinbe finally joining the crew in Wano along with the rest of the members.
Religious Views
Nami has not been associated specifically with any religion, but it is believed that to some extent she believes in God.
Career
Since a young age, Nami had been interested in Cartography and Geography. She has been studying all about them by stealing books and attaining information from around which made her develop the skills of a talented thief. During her childhood, she had to work for a pirate named Arlong who asked her to work for him and collect a heavy amount of money in order to free the village from his control. Since then she had been stealing from pirates and giving that money to Arlong. She got betrayed once she collected all the necessary amount and Luffy had to save her village.
After that, she joined the Straw Hat Crew as the navigator and set sail in order to fulfill her dream of drawing the map of the World. While the time skip of 2 years happened after the Sabaody Archipelago by Bartholomew Kuma, Nami was sent to a sky island called Weatheria where she learned all about weather control and improved her skills as a navigator. Nami- Money-Minded Gold Digger

However, Nami’s backstory and motivations for seeking wealth are explored in the series, revealing a deeper and more complex character than initially portrayed.
