Nature

After his father’s death, Kakashi became more emotionally guarded and detached, following all the rules strictly and being harsh towards those who disobeyed them. He often appeared aloof and cold, with a stern demeanor that could come off as arrogant and condescending. Despite this, Kakashi had a keen perception and intuition, allowing him to quickly grasp the situation at hand. He also became willing to abandon his comrades in order to complete missions, making him a formidable and feared ninja. His MBTI personality type is INTP (The Logician).

Young Kakashi in Anbu

In contrast to his cold and stern demeanor as a young ninja, Kakashi now appears relaxed and somewhat indifferent as an adult. Despite being widely acknowledged as one of the most skilled ninjas in the world, he remains humble and unassuming, never flaunting his abilities or status. However, Kakashi has a habit of being tardy and often shows up late, using flimsy excuses that do little to convince others. He does this only for matters that he considers unimportant, but when the situation demands it, he is always ready to take action. His MBTI personality type is INTP and people with this personality tend to be introverted, intuitive, thinking, and perceiving.

Kakashi remained in a sullen attitude after his father’s death but unlike Kakashi, Guy who also lost his father at a young age did not develop dark emotions. Guy supported and motivated Kakashi in his worst times. For example, When Kakashi joined Anbu and was on his way to becoming a rogue ninja, the person who was most worried about Kakshi’s situation was Guy. Guy’s friendship filled the emptiness in Kakashi’s life to some extent and prevented him from succumbing to negative emotions.

Weapon

In addition to Kunai, Kakashi also uses a variety of other weapons and tools, such as Shuriken and Senbon needles. Shuriken can be thrown at enemies to cause injury or create distractions, while Senbon needles can be used for acupuncture or to hit pressure points on an opponent’s body, causing paralysis or unconsciousness. Kakashi is also proficient in using explosive tags, which are attached to various objects to create explosive traps or to detonate on impact. Additionally, he is skilled in using his signature weapon, the Chidori, which is a powerful electric attack that he channels through his hand.

Abilities

Kakashi is considered one of the most powerful shinobi ever to come out of Konoha. He inherited his exceptional abilities from his father, known as the White Fang of Konoha, and demonstrated his advanced skills from a young age. His rapid promotion through the ninja ranks serves as proof of his talent, and he is known to rival an entire country in terms of strength. High-level ninjas are able to recognize Kakashi’s abilities just by seeing him in action, a testament to his reputation and prowess.

Shadow Clone Jutsu

The Shadow Clone Jutsu enables a ninja to generate one or more duplicates of themselves. Kakashi regularly utilized this technique to deceive his enemies during battles. Nevertheless, the clones do not have a significant impact on the enemy, and their attacks are usually ineffective. As a result, Kakashi primarily employs them to divert the attention of his opponents on the battlefield.

Summoning Jutsu

With Summoning Jutsu, a shinobi can summon animals, having remarkable abilities, from another realm. Kakashi summons dogs who have a powerful sense of smell. These dogs can trace the enemy from a very far distance and can even injure opponents severely by biting them with their strong and sharp teeth. We saw Kakashi using Summoning Jutsu for the first time against Zabuza, a highly skilled swordsman from The Village Hidden in Mist.

Rasengan

In the Naruto Shippuden series, Kakashi Hatake is one of the rare shinobi who can use the Rasengan technique. Despite mastering the Jutsu at a young age, he doesn’t use it as frequently as his signature move, the Raikiri. Due to this, his execution of the Rasengan seems less impressive compared to that of other shinobi like Naruto Uzumaki and Jiraiya.

Chidori

Chidori, which translates to “One Thousand Birds,” is an A-ranked jutsu created by Kakashi Hatake during his apprenticeship under Minato Namikaze. The technique involves the use of lightning-style chakra concentrated in the palm of the user to produce a highly penetrative thrust attack. However, as it lacks shape manipulation, it is considered to be a weaker form of Kakashi’s signature technique.

Genjutsu

Kakashi’s usage of the Sharingan was a significant aspect of his fighting style and he heavily relied on it throughout his ninja career. Despite not being an Uchiha, his proficiency with the eye was comparable to that of a natural Sharingan user. With the Sharingan, Kakashi could perform various techniques such as copying his opponent’s movements and Jutsu, predicting their next moves, and using genjutsu to manipulate their senses. Nevertheless, due to the high chakra consumption and the eye’s detrimental effects on his body, Kakashi used it sparingly and only when necessary.

Raikiri

The Raikiri, also known as the Lightning Cutter, is Kakashi Hatake’s signature technique and an improved version of the Chidori. Similar to the Chidori, the Raikiri is a thrust-based technique that relies on the user’s speed and penetration power to defeat their opponent swiftly. However, the Raikiri is more concentrated than the Chidori, making it hit harder and faster. In terms of rank, the Chidori is classified as an A-ranked jutsu, while the Raikiri is considered an S-ranked jutsu.

Kakashi upgraded Chidori to Raikiri

Lightning Blade: Double Thunderclap

Lightning Blade: Double Thunderclap is a combination of the Chidori and the Raikiri, two lightning-based jutsu created by Kakashi. By creating a shadow clone and using both hands, Kakashi can connect two Chidori or Raikiri together with a strong stream of lightning, resulting in a powerful electric shock that can deal massive damage to the opponent. Its rank is not officially known, but it is considered an advanced and highly dangerous technique.

Shiden

Kakashi Hatake, after losing his Sharingan during the Fourth Great Ninja War, had to develop a new technique to replace the Raikiri and Chidori. This technique, known as Shiden or Purple Electricity, is one of his strongest and most recent techniques. Shiden allows him to attack from a distance, unlike his previous close-range techniques. Despite this, the technique is incredibly powerful and has been shown to tear through even the limbs of a Tailed Beast.

Kamui

Kakashi gained access to Obito Uchiha’s Mangekyo Sharingan ability, Kamui, after receiving one of Obito’s Sharingan eyes during the Third Great Ninja War. However, We saw Kakashi using this technique for the first time during Kazekage Rescui Arc. With Kamui, Kakashi has the ability to warp objects and people within a short range to the dimension of Kamui.

Susanoo

After awakening both Mangekyo Sharingan during the Fourth Great Ninja War, Kakashi Hatake unlocked the power of the Susanoo, fueled by the Six Paths chakra of Obito. His Susanoo was among the strongest seen in the series, augmented by the abilities of Kamui. As a result, Kakashi’s Susanoo was incredibly powerful, even capable of holding its own against the godlike power of Kaguya Otsutsuki.

Kamui Raikiri

Kamui Raikiri is considered to be one of the strongest Jutsu that Kakashi Hatake has ever used. By combining the abilities of Kamui with a Raikiri infused with Six Paths chakra, Kakashi created a powerful technique that was capable of injuring even Kaguya Otsutsuki. The technique was incredibly fast and impossible to counter. However, Kakashi could only use it as long as he had Obito’s powers, which he eventually lost.

Power

One of Kakashi Hatake’s notable abilities is his possession of the Sharingan, a powerful dōjutsu (eye technique). The Sharingan grants Kakashi strong perception, enhanced visual powers, and the ability to see chakra flow. With the Sharingan, Kakashi can accurately read and anticipate his opponents’ movements. Additionally, with the help of Sharingan, Kakashi can mimic and replicate various jutsu, even those of higher complexity, after witnessing them just once. The skill of learning others’ jutsu on the first attempt earned Kakashi the nickname “Copy Ninja Kakashi.”

Battles

Kakashi Hatake undoubtedly stands out as one of the most intriguing and formidable characters in the Naruto series. Right from the start, his exceptional combat prowess and unmatched strategic thinking set him apart from other skilled shinobi. His remarkable intellect and tactical acumen make him a force to be reckoned with in the shinobi world. Here are some of the most interesting battles of Naruto series in which Kakashi has engaged.

Kakashi Vs Zabuza

Kakashi encountered Zabuza for the first time when his team, Team 7, was on their first B-rank mission assigned by the third Hokage. Zabuza Momochi, also known as the Demon of the Hidden Mist, earned his fearsome reputation by ruthlessly eliminating more than 100 graduates from the Kirigakure Academy. He later joined the notorious group called the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. Zabuza possessed a unique ability to generate dense fog during battles, making him a formidable adversary for Kakashi. However, Kakashi came up with a clever strategy by allowing himself to be wounded twice, enabling his ninja dogs to track the scent of his blood on Zabuza’s weapon. Once the fog dissipated, Kakashi utilized his exceptional speed to overpower Zabuza and turn the tide of the battle in his favor.

Kakashi Vs Itachi

During Kisame and Itachi’s visit to Konoha in search of Naruto, they confront Kakashi, Asuma, and Kurenai. Kisame intends to engage Kakashi directly in battle, but Itachi intervenes, recognizing that their skills are evenly matched. Instead, Itachi casts a strong genjutsu on Kakashi using Mangekyo Sharingan, successfully imprisoning him. However, Kakashi, known for his resilience and possessing his own Sharingan, withstands the mental torture. Despite his determination, Kakashi is ultimately overpowered by Itachi, which shows the vast difference in their abilities.

Kakashi Vs Kakuzu

Despite the daunting odds and the seemingly insurmountable challenge posed by Hidan and Kakuzu, Kakashi and Team 10 refused to back down. Engaging in a grueling battle filled with unexpected twists, their determination prevailed. In a critical moment, Kakashi played a pivotal role by aiding in the destruction of Kakuzu’s last remaining heart, effectively sealing his fate. Taking personal responsibility, Kakashi ensured the ultimate demise of his formidable adversary.

Kakashi Vs Hiden

Engaging in a tense confrontation with the formidable Hidan, Kakashi demonstrated his tactical prowess in countering the voodoo-like abilities of his opponent. Despite his strategic maneuvers, Kakashi found himself gradually worn down by Hidan’s relentless and swift assaults. Recognizing the imminent danger he faced, Kakashi made the decision to temporarily disengage from the battle, seeking the support of his team to devise a comprehensive plan to overcome the Akatsuki members.

Kakashi Vs Sasuke

Despite possessing the Sharingan like the Uchiha clan, Kakashi’s utilization of the eye technique falls short when compared to Sasuke’s mastery. When Sakura embarks on a mission to eliminate Sasuke, she finds herself overwhelmed and on the verge of death. Fortunately, Kakashi arrives in the nick of time to rescue her from their former comrade. Engaging in a battle with Sasuke, Kakashi manages to hold his ground against him in various aspects. However, upon Naruto’s arrival, the duo launches a joint attack on Sasuke, compelling him to make a hasty retreat alongside Obito.

Kakashi Vs Pain

Pain, who perceives himself as a deity with unparalleled abilities, indeed possesses powers that surpass even the most formidable shinobi. Yet, as Kakashi personally experienced, even a god is not invulnerable. When Pain launches an assault on Konoha to draw out Naruto, Kakashi confronts him in a valiant attempt to defend the village. Despite his utmost efforts to withstand Pain’s formidable Deva and Asura Paths, Kakashi finds himself severely outmatched.

Kakashi Vs Obito

In the midst of the Fourth Great Ninja War, Kakashi faces off against Obito, his former comrade who was believed to be dead. Their intertwined history spans a significant period of time, but Obito’s path has taken a dark turn, embracing chaos instead of harmony. As they clash in the Kamui Dimension, an unexpected equilibrium emerges between the two warriors. While Kakashi ultimately gains the upper hand in this encounter, it is worth noting that Obito’s intentions were aligned with breaking free from Madara’s control, necessitating Kakashi’s Lightning Blade to strike him. Thus, the outcome remains uncertain, despite the outcome being technically in Kakashi’s favor.
